THE CHICAGO SHOWCASE SHOWS AT METRO were the launching pad for many great Chicago area bands, most notably the Smashing Pumpkins.
This was taped in 1987, just about the time Joe first met Billy Corgan. Billy was gushing about his new band, which had a drum machine at the time. Joe told him' Go find your John Bonham and you'll have a gig."
