Kheglen, the Cosmic Moose
Made to RatioArt Gallery, which is a new art gallery in the connection of St. Petersburg's Planetario. The project "Space in ancient and contemporary art" was Nordic and Russian culture change in the workshops during 5.4. - 11.4.2013. The theme is "space in ancient and contemporary art". There were 9 Russian artists and 1 artist from Norway ( Kari Nordheim) with whom I was working. We all made our own artworks at the same time in the gallery. My theme in the video and in my four still images is Kheglen, the Cosmic Moose. Moose is the most common motif in ancient rock art paitnings and - carvings in Northern Scandinavia area and also in Siberia. Kheglen's story tells about the birth of Ursa and Minor Major constellations. The opening ceremony of the exhibition is on 25th May-. It would be really nice to see you there!
