For a long time an ultra-intimate folk solo project influenced by Elliott Smith or Sufjan Stevens, only revealing itself in bits and pieces on the internet, Moloch/Monolyth has evolved and asserted itself. It's now a group of 5 people, and if the subject matter is still as dense, the music has become more direct and intense. On stage they play loudly and shout a lot, and the moments they spend on stage are always very emotional. Moloch/Monolyth's influences have broadened, they often cite Arcade Fire or The Dodos as sources of inspiration.
