How to Open Saved Recovery Files in COMSOL Multiphysics®
In this video, we show you how to open recovery files in COMSOL Multiphysics®, a useful tool for anyone who runs parametric simulations, including auxiliary sweeps, time-dependent and frequency domain studies, and parametric sweeps. If, for any reason, COMSOL Multiphysics® closes before a simulation is finished, the software automatically saves a file with the partial solution. Simply open the recovery file and continue the simulation from where it left off.
Note that for parametric sweeps, the Continue functionality is not available, but your solutions will still be stored. As a workaround, you can rerun the parametric sweep starting at the last value of the original; there will be two solution data sets, but all of the values will be available.
