I'll show you how to recreate an alien Helicoradian plant from James Cameron's Avatar and give it a satisfying bloom animation. You'll learn how to make a detailed 'feather' for the leaves using a hair system and grooming, and how to procedurally generate the plant using geometry nodes. You'll learn how to use vector math, attribute statistics, map range, and the many uses of the float curve node. Watch to the end and I'll do a quick rundown of how I created the final scene.
