July 20, 2023 Space X Starlink Launch
On July 19th, 2023, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon Rocket from California's Vandenberg Space Force Base. The rocket was carrying 15 second-generation Starlink internet satellites. We had the incredible opportunity to film this momentous event from the vantage point of Mt. Soledad in San Diego.
Using a Sony A74 camera, we captured the awe-inspiring sight in stunning 4k30 10-bit 422 resolution. The Tamron 28-75 lens at f2.8 allowed us to achieve impressive clarity and detail, while a shutter speed of 1/30 second ensured smooth and dynamic visuals. The combination of the rocket's ascent against the backdrop of the night sky, with the city lights twinkling below, created an unforgettable and breathtaking experience.
