Friday Fantasy Show - The Bottled Imp - Episode 201
Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Guide: Priest.

The Bottled Imp loves Talisman: the magical quest game. Ken has been travelling the realms in search of the fabled Talisman for many a year, way back when Games Workshop released their First Edition in the early 1980s.

When Fantasy Flight revised the Black Industries Fourth Edition, in February 2008, Ken was back on board (pun obviously intended). A redesigned and bigger board, new features such as Fate Tokens, and a host of new expansions, saw Ken’s renewed love for the questing game classic.

In these Character Guides, Ken will hopefully spread his words of wisdom, allowing you to gain that all important tactical advantage in seizing the Crown of Command and win the game.

Ken picked the Sorceress first, as it’s his favourite character from the base game to try and claim glory. You can see the Sorceress Guide here:    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

Next was the Ghoul. He starts in the graveyard as you’d expect and haunts his way around the board! You can see the Ghoul Guide here:    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The Thief was next. He loves nicking stuff as you’d expect but just what else can the thief do to claim the fabled Crown of Command? You can see the Thief Guide here:    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The Troll came under the spotlight too. Strength is the key to his chances of winning the game but be careful as he only has two Special Abilities to help you in your quest. You can see the Troll Guide here:    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

We peeked at the humble Minstrel too. The key to the Minstrel is his ability to charm animals with his sweet music. Can he sing his way to ultimate power?    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

Our attention then turned to the Druid, the mystic of nature, the caster of spells. He has the ability to change his alignment at will. Will this be enough for him to claim the ultimate prize? Check out the Druid guide here:    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The Assassin’s had time in the spotlight. Not something as assassin likes! Can his stealthy Assassinate Special Ability be enough to weaken his Enemies and other players? Hopefully this guide will help!    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

We saw how the Prophetess can use her Spell Casting and Foresight Special Abilities to gain the edge over her rivals for the greatest prize of them all!    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The mild-mannered and humble Monk was next, whose Special Ability of adding his Craft to his Strength in Battle makes him a holy man to be feared. But will his objection of using Weapons and Armour stand in his way to fight his way to the Crown of Command?    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The evil Wizard caught our attention next, with his powerful spell casting ability. He will stop at nothing to grasp the power he is hungry for.

Next the brave Warrior stepped forward. He has the fighting skills to defeat foes and win any battle. Surely he has what it takes to strike his way to claim the Crown of Command?    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The mighty Dwarf swings his mighty axe! Using his muscle and his cunning, the Dwarf has many Special Abilities to out whit his foes and combat natural forces to battle his way to the Valley of Fire and claim the Crown of Command for himself!    • Talisman Revised 4th Edition Character Gui...

The Priest may have God on his side but just how will he overcome the many obstacles to claim the Crown of Command for himself and defend the week and needy against the forces of Evil? Find out in this episode.

Ken will look at each Character’s stats and Special Abilities, what best to focus on when playing that character, what spaces on the board suits each character, and what places to avoid.

The Bottled Imp has given detailed reviews and how to play the game, on the base game plus ALL the expansion compatible with Talisman Revised 4th Edition. Click on the link below for The Bottled Imp Talisman Playlist:
