Finally, here's the video that shows how I sewed the Velvet Corduroy Stand Collar Peplum Blazer Jacket. As specified in the video, this was a test garment. Some sewing steps may seem confusing or even vary from the instructions you receive with the pattern. Therefore, I recommend following the sewing instructions that come with the pattern. They are much more detailed, and the sewing steps have been organized as efficiently as possible in order to obtain an excellent final result. Also, I don't recommend velvet corduroy for a beginner or intermediate level. My fabric had the ribs arranged diagonally, and I had to improvise. I cut the fabric so that the ribs converged in a V on the center back and in an inverted V on the center front. That led to some unexpected difficulties with the stability of the fabric on one side of the jacket and the collar - to have the ribs horizontal on the back and converged on the front, I cut the outer side of the collar literally on the bias. Furthermore, the hem facing was too bulky, and I had to unstitch it and find another solution. I had to cut a bias strip of lighter fabric and shape it to fit the curved hem of the jacket. In any case, even if I could not film all the steps well, I am generally satisfied with the video but above all with the blazer, because I find it very suitable to wear with a pair of jeans for a casual look - perfect for spring.

Ecco finalmente il video che mostra come ho cucito la Giacca Blazer peplo con Collo montante in velluto a coste. Come specificato nel video questo era un capo di prova. Quindi alcuni passaggi di cucito potrebbero sembrare poco chiari o semplicemente variano rispetto alle istruzioni di cucito che riceverai con il cartamodello. Perciò, consiglio di seguire le istruzioni di cucito fornite con il cartamodello. Sono molto più dettagliate e le fasi di cucitura sono state organizzate nel modo più efficiente possibile in modo da ottenere un ottimo risultato finale. Inoltre, non consiglio il velluto a coste a un principiante e nemmeno a un livello intermedio. Il mio tessuto aveva le coste disposte diagonalmente e ho dovuto improvvisare, ho tagliato il tessuto in modo da far convergere a V le coste sul centro dietro e a V rovesciata sul centro davanti. Ciò mi ha creato qualche difficolta inaspettata con la stabilità del tessuto su un lato della giacca e con il colletto perché letteralmente tagliato con il centro dietro sullo sbieco per avere le coste in orizzontale sul dietro e convergenti sul davanti. Per di più, la paramontura dell'orlo creava troppo spessore e ho dovuto scucirla e trovare un'altra soluzione. Ho dovuto tagliare una striscia in sbieco di tessuto più leggero e l'ho modellata per adattarla all'orlo curvo della giacca. In ogni caso, anche se non sono riuscita a riprendere bene in video tutti i passaggi, in linea generale sono sodisfatta del video ma soprattutto della giacca perché la trovo molto adatta ad essere indossata con un paio di jeans per un look casual - perfetto per la primavera.
