additive synthesis: sawtooth wave
How a sawtooth wave can be built up as a sum of an infinite number of harmonic components (sine waves).
The sawtooth wave contains all integer harmonics. The amplitude of the kth harmonic is inversely proportional to k, and the polarity of every other harmonic is flipped.
