Gordon Smith, MD, FAAN moderated an enlightening panel discussion with Board Chair David W. Dodick, MD, FAAN and Stacey Clardy, MD, PhD about the importance of humanism in neurology and spoke with John Quinlan, MD, the winner of this year’s Ted M. Burns Humanism in Neurology Award. The panel discussed the influence of Dr. Burns’ work on the field of neurology and honored Dr. Quinlan whose work embodies humanism, and inspires neurologists to improve health care delivery and the lives of their colleagues and patients. Audience members had a chance to ask questions and express their gratitude for John’s work.
