Built in 2020, ‘The Hobbit’ is a 2 bedroom contemporary accommodation designed to take in the magnificent views across the Tarana Valley. Located on our working truffiere, guests can wander through the oaks in the truffiere, explore the farm paddocks and listen to the birds under the native eucalypts.
Wake up to the expansive view in either of two queen bedrooms. Shower under the stars in the two private bathrooms. Feel the warmth of floor heating as you curl up with a book and watch the snow fall. Relax with a BBQ and a wine in the courtyard as you watch the sunset over the valley.
The country town of Oberon, located on a magnificent plateau on the western edge of the Blue Mountains, is renowned for its beautiful countryside and agricultural production. Expansive softwood plantations, one of the largest privately owned cool climate gardens, and paddock to plate pork and lamb are features of the area.
Amongst this beautiful regional setting, we produce high quality truffle and offer guests truffle hunt and tasting experiences.
