The Pedro Calmon Foundation, a unit linked to the Bahia State Secretariat of Culture, inaugurates the Ubiratan Castro Training Center, a new and important public facility dedicated to training, research, and knowledge production in the state.

The creation of this space marks a special moment for the institution, which celebrates its 40th anniversary and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening public cultural policies.

The Center was created with the aim of expanding access to training and knowledge in the areas of books, reading, libraries, archives, and memory. It thus consolidates itself as a space for intellectual production, cultural dissemination, and institutional articulation, contributing directly to the sociocultural development of Bahia.
