How to make the 🍁 Perfect Autumn skirt 🍁 | beginner sewing project
Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
I am high into the Autumn aesthetic, but unfortunately I can't really go anywhere to go and enjoy it, so I've been trying to bring it a little into my house! Warm tones all the way. I got this fabric a few weeks ago for a specific project (that did not go according to plan), but I had just enough fabric leftover that I thought I could squeeze out one skirt. I've been pretty successful in making vintage inspired everyday skirts; the last two I've made are my absolute favourites to wear.
I think this is a new favourite too.
I wanted it to be super simple as well, in case anyone starting out sewing needed some ideas. It's a simple rectangle skirt, pleated at the waist, and you can get away with *very little fabric*. I think the fabric choice really makes the difference. I wanted to photograph it somewhere nicer, but it has been raining ALL WEEK here and we had about 5 seconds where I could take a nice finished clip that wasn't in my living room 🤷♀️ I will be wearing it a lot though so I'll post more photos on Instagram!
