Here are some practical aspects of transistor analysis:
Transistor terminals :
The three terminals of a transistor are the base (B), collector (C), and emitter (E).
Transistor types :
There are two types of transistors: NPN and PNP. NPN transistors are activated by high signals, while PNP transistors are activated by low signals.
Transistor operation :
The base-emitter junction of a transistor acts like a diode. The base current controls the collector current by changing the resistance.
Transistor switch :
The switch of a transistor is between the collector and emitter. The switch is operated by changing the voltage between the base and emitter.
Transistor voltage :
When turned on, the minimum voltage from collector to emitter is about 0.3V for NPN and -0.3V for PNP. The voltage from base to emitter is about 0.7V for NPN and -0.7V for PNP.
Transistor current :
The emitter current is equal to the base current plus the collector current. The collector current is equal to the transistor's beta times the base current.
