How to set up alerts and notifications in Power BI
In Power BI, it’s possible to set up alerts so that you get notified by email, when specific things of your choosing happen, such as sales revenue reaches X, or profits dip to Y. (These alerts are only available on certain chart types, and to the owner of the dashboard.)
So, how do you set up an alert?
• Click the three dots on the dashboard tile
• Select ‘manage alerts’
• Click ‘add new alert'
• Give your alert a title
• Set a condition (eg sales reach X)
• Select how often you want to receive the alert
• Tick the box to be sent an email
• Save and close
And you’re done!
