The new instalment to Hyrule Warriors is here to tell the story of Zelda's time in the past, after the events that transpired at the beginning of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom does offer a glimpse into Zelda's actions in the past, but Age of Imprisonment takes it to another level, with new alliances and the Imprisoning War looming over Hyrule.
This video was recorded on a Nintendo Switch 2 and is part of the First Hour series that presents games release on or very close to their release date. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment was released globally on November 6, 2025 exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.
