In this second installment of our quest, we will explore not only the echoes of the mythical lost civilization, but also the mysteries that connect ancient myths with the vestiges of knowledge that still permeate our history today.
The legend of Atlantis comes to us from the writings of Plato, the Greek philosopher who recounted how an advanced civilization, destined for greatness, was consumed by its own arrogance and ultimately swept from the face of the Earth by a great flood, a catastrophe that resonates in the mythologies of cultures around the world. From the Epic of Gilgamesh to biblical accounts, the theme of a flood that devastated civilizations is repeated, suggesting that in some corner of our collective memory there remains an echo of something more than just a myth.
According to Plato, some Atlanteans managed to escape before the total destruction of their continent. These survivors carried with them their knowledge, their technology, and the mysteries of their civilization. If we explore the Mayan manuscript preserved in the British Museum, we find a description that also alludes to an ancient civilization, the land of Mu, which was sacrificed by terrible earthquakes and subterranean fires, disappearing beneath the waves along with 64 million inhabitants. Interestingly, this event is placed approximately 8,000 years before the text was written, reinforcing the idea of a great civilization lost in the distant past.
But the story does not end in destruction. As in so many mythical narratives, regeneration arises from chaos. According to Andean traditions, Manco Cápac and Mama Ocllo, sent by the gods, descended from Lake Titicaca with the mission of civilizing humankind, teaching them agriculture, and organizing their societies. Could these figures be the descendants or heirs of that ancient Atlantean knowledge, adapting it to the peoples of the Andes? The coincidences are hard to ignore: accounts of civilizing figures, bearers of knowledge, are repeated from Egypt to Mesopotamia, and from the Americas to Asia.
Furthermore, it is said that the surviving Atlanteans not only rebuilt, but also sowed seeds of profound knowledge that was transmitted through the centuries by initiates. This teaching is the Rose and the Cross, the experience of which implies a spiritual transformation, as well as alchemy and the secret of Sahaja Maithuna. These tools, given to the survivors, could have been the key for a devastated world to rise from its ashes. Atlantis, far from being just a myth, could be a bridge to understanding our own humanity and the roots of our civilization.
