As part of their 3D printing and prototyping unit, Form A student groups designed and 3D printed bumpers to be placed on a CO2 propelled egg car. Similar to a traditional egg drop experiment, students wanted their bumpers to crumple therefore increasing the time of impact and decreasing the force stopping the car, thus saving the egg. Each group made an initial design and tested it. Students then redesigned and tested a new bumper based on their findings.
