I invite you to watch another video from our hunt. Snipe hunting with a pointer. Snipe are a marsh-meadow game species, and when the hunting season opens, hunters and gundog owners hunt for fat snipe. Snipe are a valuable trophy for hunters, and they're also very tasty.
We left early, before 4 a.m., and by the time we reached the hunting grounds, it was approaching 5 a.m. We were a whole team on the hunt: me with my Kurzhaar, Richard, and my friend Alexey with his pointer, Loki. Despite it being Monday, there were a lot of hunters, and we had a hard time finding a couple of open meadows. There are birds in the meadows, but due to the pressure, they're nervous and sometimes won't even let us get within shooting distance. But I think the hunt was very successful and we got our trophies.
