00:00 - Explanation
The muscles in the neck contain many nerve cells that constantly provide our balance center with information about the head's position in space. A disturbance in this area, for example, caused by muscle tension, irritates these nerve cells and can therefore trigger dizziness. In this video, we explain the processes and demonstrate exercises to relax the affected muscles.

⏰ Timestamp:

00:00 - Explanation

The muscles in the neck contain many nerve cells that constantly provide our balance center with information about the head's position in space. A disturbance in this area, for example, due to muscle tension, leads to irritation of these nerve cells and can thus trigger dizziness. ► Our therapist will show you these exercises for your cervical spine:

03:36 - Exercise 1: Stretching the short neck muscles while seated
A gentle exercise to stretch the short neck muscles, relax them, and improve the perception of balance receptors.

04:51 - Exercise 2: SCM Treatment
This trigger point treatment loosens the muscle attachments of the sternocleidomastoid muscle, thus enabling, among other things, better head posture.

07:03 - Exercise 3: Head Turning with a Towel
The newly achieved and improved functions from the first two exercises are now stabilized.

/Important:

○ Always respect your pain threshold
○ You should feel better after the exercise
○ Applying heat can help relax the muscles
