Rogue Scratch Board | session 1 scratch behavior 091320
This is 8-year-old Rogue's first session of learning to do a scratching behavior. I start with just clicking and rewarding for him to eat a treat so we can get in the swing of clicker training. It's been a while! Then our goal is to get him to place his paw on the towel and eventually scratch at it. (The kibble just under the edge is supposed to encourage that.) When he scratches at the rug I reward! It's the behavior I want so he definitely gets rewarded for being creative. :)
Short sessions are the way to go!
