After Effects Puppet Pin Tool
Beginners introduction to Puppet Pin tool.
00:00 - Introduction
00:50 - Adobe Fresco. Create a character.
01:09 - Layers. Separated in Photoshop. You can separate them in AE too. See end of video.
01:45 - Set up your character. Anchor Points!!
02:20 - Y is the shortcut to change Anchor Point. V is selection tool.
02:54 - Parent Layers.
04:15 - SHIFT + or - = Rotate 10 pixels. + or - = 1 pixel.
04:36 - Add command (mac) ctrl (win) to shift + or - will SCALE 10 pixels.
05:02 - You can also parent head, arms and legs to Torso at this point. Everything moves with Torso.
05:25 - SHIFT Page Up and Down to move 10 FRAMES at a time.
05:42 - “Really crappy animation!”
10:24 - Hit the U key to show all pin keyframes!
11:22 - You can seperate layers in After Effects too.
11:50 - Copy and paste mask. Change to subtract.
14:03 - One more thing. You can animate a child while it follows the parent.
