REGARDING THE WORLD VOLUME : In 4.2 onward, EEVEE got rewritten, and there is NO World volume anymore (yeh, I Know.....I hate this change) , so the way to do this now is to create a massive object like a sphere or cube, and in the OBJECT side of the shading, add a PRINCIPLED VOLUME to that object. The result is similar enough. RIP world volume ;(
