[KM] Engine Oil & Filter Change - 2015 Porsche Macan S
Changing the engine oil and filter in a 2015 Porsche Macan with a 3.6L engine involves several steps. Materials Needed:
Engine oil 0W-40 ( 9 L )(Consult your owner's manual for the recommended oil type and capacity)
Oil filter(0PB115466)
Oil filter wrench
Oil drain pan
Funnel
Socket set and wrench
Oil filter drain tool (if necessary)
Oil filter cap wrench (if necessary)
Procedure:
Prepare the Vehicle:
Park the vehicle on a level surface.
Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.
Raise the Vehicle (if necessary): Depending on the clearance of your vehicle, you may need to use a jack to lift the front of the car. Use proper safety measures, such as jack stands, to secure the vehicle.
Locate the Oil Drain Plug:
The oil drain plug is typically on the bottom of the engine oil pan. Check your owner's manual for the precise location.
Drain the Oil:
Place the oil drain pan under the oil drain plug.
Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the oil drain plug.
Allow the oil to drain completely into the pan.
Remove and Replace the Oil Filter:
Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter.
Before installing the new oil filter, apply a small amount of oil to the rubber gasket on the top of the filter.
Screw on the new oil filter hand-tight. If specified in your manual, you can use a filter wrench to give it a quarter turn more.
Replace the Oil Drain Plug or washer : Once the oil has drained completely, replace the oil drain plug or washer and tighten it securely.
Add New Oil: Using a funnel, pour the recommended amount and type of oil into the engine. Refer to your owner's manual for the specific oil capacity.
Check Oil Level: Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
Check the oil level in instrument cluster.
Add more oil if needed.
