After a delay due to materials delivery and contractor scheduling, the build on my observatory project is fully underway!
The last two days have been spent on doing the foundations. A total of 18 24-inch holes had to be drilled 4 feet down to the frost line. Four of these were the foundations for my telescope piers. Four more were for foundations fro the outrigger steel framework. The final 10 were for the Perma-Columns used in the walls of the buildings.
This video compresses 2 full days of work into a few minutes!
Things are moving fast now! The walls are mostly up and the welder shows up tomorrow - so stay tuned for the next update!
