Hey all! It’s been over a year since I’ve uploaded here. Sorry about that. I plan to upload more often here in the coming months though, as I have some more music lined up, so stay tuned for that! Since then, I’ve also been behind the scenes improving my skills in production significantly, like my ambient sound design, and my knowledge on the technical sides of making music, mixing and mastering and such. I hope these songs and the ones coming in the near future really show that off well. X)
Anyways, these two tracks are very personal to me. They’re themed around the feelings of heartache I felt and still feel now after breaking up with my ex boyfriend in October of 2020. We were together for nearly 2 years. I loved him so much, so much so that I considered him my husband in my mind even though we weren't married. I was sure in my heart that I’d spend the rest of my life with him. He made me feel so safe, so secure. I miss that feeling very much.. Everyday. Over eight months later, I still deal with the heartbreak at times. Anything can trigger it. Sometimes it's random. All of a sudden, my mind shows me old memories of us that I cherish greatly, and I want to curl up in a ball and cry my heart out because it hurts knowing that time is never coming back. There are certain songs I love that I have a hard time listening to now because of what they remind me of. It's just too painful… It hurts so much.
But, I’m making progress. I’m moving on everyday, trying not to hold onto things that will never come back. It’s just a process. My heart is still healing, letting go, and healing hurts. But I know I’m heading in the right direction. One day I won't feel this anymore.
I hope you enjoy this short little story of mine. 🤍

And a big thank you to my close friend DewKlaw, who's also a fellow musician. She taught me a ton of things about the technical side of making music over the last few months, things that I wasnt aware of. I'm very grateful that she did. Without that knowledge, these songs wouldnt have been nearly as good as they are right now. Check her out below, she deserves a lot of love!
