21 years after the Aspen Fire | Mt Lemmon
The Aspen Fire was a wildfire that burned on Mount Lemmon in the Santa Catalina Mountains of Arizona from June 17 to July 12, 2003. The fire destroyed 340 homes and businesses, mostly in the community of Summerhaven, and burned nearly 85,000 acres of land. At the time, it was the most destructive fire in Mount Lemmon's history.
