Cancer survivor Jackie Custer discovers her passion for coaching and teaching
On Cancer Survivor Day, we honored all those living with a history of cancer for their strength and courage. Someone who has both those things and more is Jackie Custer. Jackie was diagnosed with leukemia as a teenager, which prevented her from playing on her basketball team the way she had intended. Instead, she discovered her passion for coaching and teaching, and she shares how her cancer experience impacts her perspective as a teacher and coach.
