How to Create Your Own LUT with FCPX & Lr for FREE | Final Cut Pro X Tutorial
Hi guys!
Today I will be showing you on how to create your very OWN LUT with Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) and Adobe Lightroom (Lr).
First, get your FREE LUT GENERATOR here: https://generator.iwltbap.com/
And you have to install it on your Mac or External Drive. Then generate a HALD, drag it onto your Lr (it looks like a mosaic).
Then, go back to your FCPX. Select a clip and choose a frame that you think it is the most colourful/complexed frame in your clip. Export this freeze frame (if you cannot find it, click "add destination"). Make sure that this frame is in the TIFF format!!!
Drag this TIFF file you saved to Lr, do your adjustments on it. When you are done, go to the bottom left corner and click "copy", and copy the characteristics that you want (or you can follow the one that is shown in the video). Go to the mosaic looking png image you dragged previously, and click "paste".
Export this new "mosaic" looking picture (now probably in jpg format), go back to the LUT Generator and click "Generate CUBE". Select the new "mosaic .jpg file", and there you go! Your OWN LUT!!
Then go back to your FCPX. Add custom LUT on your clip. Choose the new CUBE file. BAM! Your video looks amazing!!
