At The Premier Group, we've been on a lean journey for years now, and one of the most valuable lessons we've learned is the importance of regularly recognizing and praising our teams.🤩
It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind and forget to celebrate wins, both big and small.
But taking the time to express gratitude and give kudos can go a long way in boosting morale and fostering a positive, engaged culture. 🥳 That said, dishing out continuous praise can start to feel a bit robotic and insincere if not done thoughtfully.
Today, our founder, Bernard Powell , addresses a common query: how do I give regular praise & kudos to my team? 🤔
He reminded us to think about Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs! Genuine, heartfelt praise isn't just a nice-to-have, it helps meet some of our deepest psychological needs for esteem, belonging, and self-actualization.
When you recognize someone's hard work and accomplishments, you're not just patting them on the back. You're communicating that they are valued, that their contributions matter!!
Embarking on the lean journey may seem daunting, but fear not! We've curated resources to assist you in getting started. Giving back to our community is part of our DNA!
