In 1996, Arnold Schwarzenegger returned to the franchise that made him… but not in the way anyone expected. James Cameron was convinced to return to the Terminator franchise as director for the last time – for the Universal Studios Theme Park attraction T2: 3D – Battle Across Time, and he brought along the original T2 cast – Arnold, Eddie Furlong, Robert Patrick, and Linda Hamilton. Enamored by the technology, and large amounts of money given to him, Cameron crafted a 12-minute film that he states serves as a continuation of the storyline.
