Long time no see, I guess. At least not with a proper video.
To be honest, I didn't expect to finish this long video this quickly. It took me what? Three days? Considering that I haven't even gotten close to finishing a video in months, means something. Finishing this felt right and studying Buck showed me how much I can actually relate to him in many different ways.
It is quite ironic that after months of feeling like I could no longer edit and finish a video, it is the character whose trauma I can relate to most who brought the love for it back to me.
Anyone who follows me on twitter can attest to the fact that I am obsessing over him and the show again right now. This is the reason why. They are my lifeline.
Also, exactly 3 years ago, I uploaded my very first Buck video. It was unintentional that my second video of him is being uploaded on the same day, 3 years later. It didn't even occur to me until I looked at the other video and saw the date I posted it, but I have now decided that it is international Buck day!
A lot has changed these last 3 years. I have gone through friendships, lost friends, finished school and started to realize a few things about me. One thing that hasn't changed since that day though is my love for this character. I wish there was a way for me to tell Oliver how much he has saved me, especially lately, but since he isn't on twitter anymore, it is hard to tell him directly. However, I do know that he watches fanvideos, so Oliver, if you stumble across this video and managed to reach up to this point, I just want to say thank you. For being you and for saving me in ways you can't even begin to imagine. I am grateful to have found this safe space.
