American hip hop trio Migos has an estimated net worth of 90 million dollars, as of 2022. The group consists of Takeoff, Offset, and Quavo, they were founded in 2008, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
The three rappers are actually related and they grew up together. Quavo is the cousin of Takeoff and the uncle to Offset. The three rappers are managed by Coach K. who used to manage popular rappers like Gucci Mane and Young Jeezy before he began working with the trio.
The group rose to prominence after their very first hit single “Versace” from 2013. For the past 10 years or so, since the group was formed, they have released three studio albums, two of which immediately debuted at multiple charts on number one, including the Billboard 200.
Their work has been widely recognized and they’ve been nominated for many awards, including two Billboard, two Grammy, and many others.
Migos are famous because they are one of the fastest rising hip hop groups of the 21st century. Their career began in 2008, however, the relatives knew each other since they were young. The three rappers were raised by Takeoff’s mother (who is also Quavo’s older sister) back in the early 2000s in suburban Atlanta. The group was officially in 2008 under the name “Polo Club”. Shortly after they began rapping, they decided that the name “Polo Club” was too generic, so they decided to change it to “Migos” instead.
Migos became rich immediately after they released their hit single “Versace”. It opened a lot of doors to the trio and they were offered many recording deals by major labels. In 2015, they signed deals with both YRN and 300 Entertainment, however, by September decided that Quality Control Music was the better option and went independent instead.
After the success of “Versace”, Migos collaborated with many artists – Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Rich the Kid and 2 Chainz.
Their debut studio album titled “Yung Rich Nation” was released in July 2015. It was distributed by Quality Control, YRN, and 300 Entertainment, a few months before they ended their contracts.
The album has 15 songs and was met with a lot of positive reviews. Upon its release, the album debuted on number 17 in the widely-known Billboard 200 chart.
The album played an important part in Migos receiving an offer to join Kanye West’s label. They were officially signed to a management deal to West’s GOOD Music imprint in September 2016.
Following the success of their debut album, in January 2017, Migos released their second which was called “Culture”. At that time, they announced they’re no longer associated with West’s label.
Their second album became more successful than the first and quickly debuted at the number one position in the Billboard 200, in the process, becoming Migos’ first album to achieve this
