Midnight Magic - Beam me up (Jacques Renault Remix)
Disco revival is happening in a pretty serious way and Midnight Magic and Jacques Renault are playing major roles in putting the dance genre back into the zeitgeist. "Beam Me Up", both in its original incarnation and this refit, are both psychedelia-laced pianoed numbers with diva vocals. The track would work sandwiched between Donna Summer and Chic, but still suits up nice as a transition from an LCD Soundsystem number to a house track. The Beam Me Up 12-inch is out now on Permanent Vacation, featuring other remixes, including one from The Loving Hand.
