How to Make a Faux Leather Pouch
Catch the faux leather trend and create your own unique envelope style pouch. Made from home décor fabric samples and a length of cord, this pouch closes with a simple knot or bow. Use this construction method to easily create stylish and handy pouches in a variety of sizes.
Embellish them with decorative stitching, or shapes cut from scraps of other fake leather remnants. Tuck one of these pouches in your purse, use it as a clutch, or throw it in the glove box to keep odds and ends organized.

To make this project, you’ll need:
Fake leather fabric sample or remnant (I used a 7.5”x13” piece to make a 5.5”x7.5” pouch)
Cord or ribbon long enough to thread through both holes and then tie (I used 25”)
Hole punch
Pen
Masking tape
Heavier-duty sewing machine
Specialty sewing machine needle for sewing leather
Thread
Scissors
