How to Halftone for DTF with AFFINITY Photo 2 (And CorelDRAW)
You asked if it was possible to transfer our methods of Halftoning for DTF Garment Design from Photoshop to other softwares like Affinity, CorelDRAW, And Photoshop alternatives, and today we're happy to announce IT'S POSSIBLE!!!
In this video we show you not only how to Halftone in Affinity Photo 2, but also CorelDRAW 2024!!
We show you not only how to make the halftoning, but also how to make sure it's optimized for DTF with no semi-transparent pixels.
For those new to the process, Halftoning in this style is used to make a softer hand feel on printed garments, as well as allow for Gradients, Soft Shadows, Glows, and more in any printing technique that uses an underbase layer which can't reproduce Semi-Transparent Pixels.
Not only does this create a much more comfortable garment, it also reduces the amount of ink needed (similar to a black or color knockout) to print, by using the shirt color to reproduce parts of the image.
