Void Rift - Calypso fight guide
Today we’re going to go over the Calypso fight in void rift. It was a lot of fun so hopefully you enjoy it also.
There are 2 main aspects to this fight. First is that Calypso targets the last unit placed. So keep this in mind when placing your units. Fortunately the enemies that need to be tanked do not come out very quickly, so you can place your more important units before she appears and starts attacking.
First off we want to block this lane at the bottom. We’ll use a melee fighter who can self-heal. Wrath is a great choice for this. Everyone should have wrath and if you aren’t using him, you should be.
Next we want to block the air lane right above it. A single marksman can handle it.
The second main aspect of this fight is calypso casts a seal summoning. If she completes this she hits MUCH harder and will start one-shotting your units. Fortunately depending on your heroes and gear, you can interrupt her before she completes it. All you need to do is damage her enough to break her shield, similar to guild boss.
She’ll start at the lower left so that’s where we want our first marksman on the boss.
In the first spot I use Tauriel. She’s great because her ultimate allows her to hit anywhere on the map. So she can assist in breaking the shield a second time, even though she’s so far away.

Next she moves north, so we want another one pointing north to where she is heading.
I actually brought too much melee and needed one more ranged marksman or mage. Don’t be afraid to dismiss a hero to move them. 60 seconds seems like a lot, but if you time it right, it works amazing. I use it quite a bit in void rift if I need to.
But we honestly did it need it for this map. If you have a ranged fighter like Apsan or Arrogance, you can use them as your main tank and finish Calypso quickly as she moves towards the exit.
And that’s all there is to it. There are 3 variations of this fight in normal void rift. They all have pretty much the same strategy. If you goof up and need to change hero placement, don’t be afraid to restart right away. You don’t have to wait to lose to fix a mistake.
