Car Park Everesting - Bad decisions make good stories
Conquering the Mount Everest by bike and in the middle of Berlin?
The first question that immediately arises: How can that be done?
VOTEC Bikes Team rider Raphael and Magnus "RoadbikeParty" took on a very special Everesting Challenge over the turn of the year.
Due to Berlin's topography Magnus and Raphael had to get creative and unceremoniously transformed the Parking garage at Hermann-Platz in Berlin into an artificial mountain.
To gain 8848 meters of altitude in a parking garage is unique to date and the 403 necessary ascents additionally put the willpower of both riders to the test in addition to the physical strain.
After more than 190 km ridden and almost 24 hours in the saddle, both riders were able to reach the virtual summit of Mount Everest.
This set a new record with the world's first successful Everesting in a parking garage.
Unless you want to completely scramble your brain, Raphael and Magnus can't really recommend such a challenge;-)
