Titles are usually broad and can mean many different things. For example, we hear a lot of people discuss whether annuities are good or bad. In reality, they can be both depending on how they are used. Their are fixed annuities, indexed annuities, variable annuites. A common retirement vehicle for teachers an hospitals is a 403(b) which is a TSA or Tax Sheltered Annuity. Pensions are annuities. Make sure you understand how each product works and do not get too stuck on the title.
