Montessori Movable Alphabet with Geography Cards
Another way to inspire writing with the movable alphabet is to use geography cards and encourage the children write down what they see.
At some point, you'll notice that the children begin to write phonograms like "th" or "er" with individual letters instead of using the phonogram double letter cards. This tell us that they are ready to start using the cut-out alphabet or continue their work with the traditional movable alphabet all by itself.
