One question I often get asked is: How do I know that my brushes are ready for other artists to use and enjoy? 🎉🖌
This is actually one of my favorite parts of the process and something I don't usually talk about. Whether I'm creating ink brushes or painting brushes, the final stages of development are crucial.🔥
Every time I have a pack of brushes that’s almost ready, I think about the beautiful works of art that I admire in the medium I'm trying to emulate. I then try to replicate their work. This involves getting into the artist's mindset and understanding their process step by step. My goal is to reproduce every effect I see in the original painting.
This approach serves two purposes:
1️⃣ Testing the Brushes: It allows me to test my brushes against real artworks to ensure they perform well.
2️⃣ Learning the Medium: It helps me understand how the medium works, enhancing my ability to create effective tools.
This method ensures that every brush in the pack is functional and can meet the needs of artists, allowing them to create their own masterpieces with ease.
