00:00 Intro & scope (Windows only; can’t host and play on same PC)
00:35 Download SteamCMD (Google → Windows → Download)
01:00 Extract & run SteamCMD (folder setup, first launch populates files)
01:33 Log in anonymous; install server with app_update 728470
02:06 Optional: MMG updater .bat from website (auto update/validate)
03:40 Put updater next to steamcmd.exe; run to update/validate
04:41 Start script in server folder; visible console & clean shutdown (Ctrl+C)
05:46 Find configs: run once → Saves → Config/WindowsServer → edit AstroServerSettings.ini (IP, name, owner, password, FPS 60)
06:58 Edit Engine.ini ([URL] → Port=8777) and open router/Windows firewall ports
07:57 Launch server & connect notes (Steam only, no Steam–MS crossplay) + wrap-up
