2021 cPanel Domain on Cloudflare, How to set it up and still use Email
In this video Email settings and DNS are preserved! Thus you WILL be able to continue to use your email.
This video will show you how to set up a domain (website) on Cloudflare when it was originally set up on cPanel. I'm going to repeat a few points from the video below:
1) You need to FIRST set up your DNS and get it propagated on your cPanel server BEFORE you change your nameservers to Cloudflare. This is because in the process of adding a domain in the Cloudflare control panel the cloudflare system will reach out and check for the exsiting DNS records for that domain. After it finds them it will keep track of them when it comes to forwarding requests to your IP/server. Remember, cloudflare will not be handling ALL of the requests/data transfers to your server. Things like email will be handled by your own server.
2) Make sure that you distinguish clearly between those DNS queries that are going to use the cloudflare proxy, and those which are "DNS only", i.e. those for which cloudflare will pass along and send on to your server itself. Things like email and MX records are specifically implicated here.
