Grifters of Putin
It’s him they’re salutin’
The GOP
Used to be
The Grand Old Party
But now they’re the Grifters of Putin
Republicans are heaping praise on Vladimir
For leadership they’re giving him high marks
You'll even hear 'em say they wish we had him here
So they could be American oligarchs
Republicans who used to be Cold Warriors
Are siding with a Russian autocrat
To put Trump in the White House for four more years
And maybe forever after that
Grifters of Putin
They’re not Isaac Newton
The GOP
Used to be
The Grand Old Party
But now they’re the Grifters of Putin
Maybe you remember Neville Chamberlain
Who thought that by appeasing he could tame Berlin
But they were not appeased,
Hitler did just what he pleased
And before you knew
It was World War Two
World War Two
In today’s world, we’ve got our own devils
And in Congress we’ve got our own Nevilles
Lie, lie, lie, lie…
They Lie, lie, lie…
Putin is their man
‘Cause he supports their plan
To Make America Trumpistan
They say, “Russia, if you’re listening, be reassured
And take Ukraine, we’ll look the other way.”
To America, they’re saying you can be assured
We’ll take away your rights and make you pay
Pay, pay pay pay - Hey!
Grifters of Putin
That’s them sure as shootin’
The GOP
Is working furiously
To make the world unsafe for democracy
‘cause now they’re the Grifters of Putin
Makin’ Hay! Hay! Hay!
