In many cases, we can address these very quickly and with minimal tools involved. Here is a quick look at the general process to repair small grouted areas where our grout is crumbling or cracking. By using a siliconized grout caulk, we also increase the likelihood that the grout repair will hold against future movement in our walls or other flooring surfaces. The reason siliconized grout caulking is the preferred product for perimeters and corners, is that it has a little flexibility to fight the movement created from expansion and contraction of other building materials.
