How to Repair Caulk on a Stone Countertop Backsplash - Beginners DIY Guide
In this video I demonstrate how to quickly remove and replace caulking in the joint where a engineered or natural stone countertop meets the backsplash. This may need to be done after several years or in some cases, much shorter durations, but it is not something to put off. Making sure the countertop stays properly caulked will help ensure that there is not potential for bacteria to grow between the countertop and backsplash. It will also keep the countertop looking like the day it was installed! This project can be done pretty quickly and doesn't take anything more than a few tools and some basic guidelines. Even if you aren't great at caulking (I'm no professional myself), you can minimize the clean up from a messy application with the painters tape and what is left will still clean off your counter with the plastic scraper blades and a damp sponge.
