What happens when you wash your car the wrong way?
If you still use mattress sponges and rags to wash your car along with dish soap or even laundry detergent... you need to know the damage that these incorrect washing methods are causing to your car.
Mattress pads and rags are very aggressive to car paint, especially if it's a sensitive varnish. This will scratch the entire car, but the problem goes beyond scratches. The more scratches the car has, the greater the chance of paint damage such as: dull paint, burnt paint, lack of shine... and so on.
This happens because scratches retain heat, and the more this happens, the more the varnish suffers, eventually requiring repainting.
Dish soap is used to remove grease from plates, pans, cutlery... so it's not neutral! Using dish soap to wash the car, besides not being good for the varnish, will remove any type of wax you apply due to its degreasing power.
