In this situation, we may determine if Excel can work in SAFE MODE, by following the steps below:
On Windows 7
Press Win+R, in the dialog box type:
For Windows 8
Click on Windows Logo Key and type:
Excel.exe /safe
Click Ok to ok or enter
If it can work, disable all of the Excel add-ins or ad-ons and then start Excel again.
Click on File
Click Excel Options
Click Add-Ins
Disable one by one add-in and try to
open Excel as you normally do.
