At first, the tree slings gave us a little confusion because there is a really sturdy poly material, but also some slight, knotted camping cord loops attached to the poly. Turns out the hammock can be hung from either and do just fine. In fact, these slings are much smaller and lighter than the Atlas hammock slings I have for the Eno Sub7 hammock.
Some hammocks pack down smaller, but this one is really comfortable and has plenty of fabric. I'm 6'7" and there was room to spare and my 200lbs felt supported. Two of my kids can be in this hammock at once.
