After helping multiple people with their screaming it seems that "soreness" or a "fatigue feeling" is common when just starting out. It was the same for me but once your voice becomes used to being used in this unnatural way you'll start seeing tremendous progress. If there's any PAIN or BURNING feeling, the scream is not being done properly. There is a difference between feeling pain and feeling vocal fatigue when first starting.
Just remember it takes time and patience! Once you learn the basic sound without the power, the rest comes easier and it's a snowball effect. Too many people try to jump into the full scream without reverse engineering how the sounds are made.
Hope this helped! Not everyone will agree with this process but as stated in the video this isn't a professional way to scream, this is just how I personally do it because many have asked to see my process.
**Warming up is the most important step, if you don't warm up your voice you will limit your ability to scream effortlessly and it will shorten how long you're able to scream for. When just starting out I know it's a pain but warming up will allow you to practice longer and will make it much easier to learn.
